Youth Guidance Denmark (UUDK) is representing all +60 Youth Guidance Centres in Denmark, UUDK is consulted prior to all announcements, legislative proposals and legislative changes that directly or indirectly affect educational guidance.
The youth guidance centres focus on guidance related to the transition from compulsory school to youth education or, alternatively, to the labour market.
UUDK is represented in all policy groups, appointed committees, working groups etc. addressing issues on (premature) school leaving, youth guidance, transition from compulsory school to youth education, prepatory educational programs, special programs for NEETs, etc.
UUDK also works consistently and concretely with developing youth guidance: dissemination of research and achieved knowledge, methods and tools. Platforms: development projects, knowledge database and seminars/conferences/workshops.
Within the metaphorical framework “YouthWork” UUDK develop, correlate and implement development projects. Experiences, knowledge, products are systematized, correlated and disseminated; forms the basis for UUDK’s external policy work and internal development work with the youth guidance centers.
UUDK will primarily contribute to the policy recommendations referring to topical political contexts, reforming work processes and legislation in the four countries and in Europe.
UUDK will be lead partner and coordinate, manage and support all (financial) administration of Youth in transition.
On January 1, 2020, UU DENMARK became an independent legal entity in Local Government Denmark (KL): “Unit for education and vocational guidance in the municipalities”
